RITE/OBRED celebrates the body through a rite of passing and transformation, presenting an embodied ritual in action on the day after Jackson’s fathers funeral.

Developed from Site, which was part of the SPILL Showcase 2015, Rite spans poles of power and vulnerability and considers the body as archive. In activating public space, it critiques current societal attitudes towards the female body. In conjunction with the local architecture, the work explores the choreographic elements in the bodies relationship to our buildings.
